Itinerary

Arrival to Sri Lanka, Your chauffeur/ guide will meet you at the airport, and drive you to Kandy. En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage which is a caring home for abandoned and wounded elephants, it is a much loved destination for tourists and locals alike. Here, adults and baby elephants from around Sri Lanka thrive, and a captive breeding program is also proving to be highly successful. The feeding and bathing times are generally the ideal times to visit when you can observe these gentle giants at their best. Evening enjoy Kandy City tour. The hill capital of Sri Lanka; Kandy, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Not only is it a beautiful city surrounded by mountains, it is also home to significant historic and religious attractions such as the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Kandy Lake The Kandy Lake is a Great place to People to watch in the shade of the ancient trees. Go for a walk with your travel buddy. One of the unique aspects of Kandy as its laidback streets. Full of colorful kaleidoscope of colonial building house. Temple of the Tooth relic Explore the sacred temple of the Tooth relic, a historic location on both cultural and religious significance. After Breakfast checkout from the hotel & proceed to Nuwara Eliya, En route visit a Tea Factory & Sri Bhaktha hanuman temple Tea Factory is one of the main sources of foreign exchange for Sri Lanka and recognized as Ceylon Tea is renowned for its high – quality aroma and taste. Sri Bhaktha hanuman temple, where Hanuman was searching for Sita, the Chinmaya Mission of Sri Lanka built the Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple which is visited by thousands of devotees every year.

After Breakfast enjoy the Nuwara Eliya city tour. Sita Amman Temple: The prominent temple architecture will not fail to attract your attention. Ancient statues of Rama and Sita can be seen on one side of the temple. The temple today is a modern building with paintings, statues and pillars decorated with sculptures; all depicting the tale of Rama and Sita. Hakgala Botanical Gardens: This is the exotic pleasure garden where King Ravana kept the depressed Sita, insisting that she marries him. It was here where the heartwarming meeting took place between her and Hanuman, who brought her Rama’s ring with the news that Rama was looking for her. He offered to carry her back but she refused saying it would be an insult to Rama’s honor if she did so. Part of this majestic garden still exists. It is also said that Hanuman nearly destroyed it in order to prove to Ravana of the forces against him. Have a Taste of Unique Nuwara Try some of the freshest strawberries right from the very hub of the delicious and tangy fruit and explore the city for east line the famous potato spiral. Explore the city’s Colonial History, Nuwara Eliya is full of colonial buildings such as the famous Post Office which is housed in an 1894 Tudor Manor.

After the breakfast checkout from the hotel take a scenic train ride from Nanu Oya railway station to Ella, a small town known for its stunning natural scenery.

After breakfast enjoy Ella city tour. Walk along the rails on the Nine Arch Bridge in Ella. The Nine Arches Bridge is 300m long, rises to a height of 80ft in height and was commissioned by the British in 1921 as part of their comprehensive network of railway lines that would enable them to carry tea from the plantations down to the port cities. With a small, 30 minute walk through the woods, you will reach a piece of beautiful architecture hidden between lush green tea fields. Ella is a quiet hill country town that draws visitors to its cool climate and its picturesque setting deep in the heart of the ‘up country’. Steeped in the ancient legend of Rama and Sita from the Indian epic -the Ramayana, the most significant natural landmarks are named after King Ravana – the local god who kidnapped the princess. The myriad locations connected to the legend are well worth visiting and the cascading torrent of Ravana Ella waterfall too is a breath-taking sight. The towering mass of Ella Rock presides regally over the area and the mountain pass known as Ella Gap offers spectacular views right across the distant valleys all the way to the South Coast. The little town of Ella is far from a scenic stopover, but a truly charming and beautiful haven to spend a few relaxing days of fresh mountain air and unforgettable vistas.

After Breakfast checkout from the hotel & proceed to Yala. Afternoon 1.00 PM visit yala national park. Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park consists of five blocks, two of which are now pen to the public and also adjoining parks. Yala is situated in Sri Lanka’s south-east hugging the panoramic Indian Ocean, Yala was designated a wildlife sanctuary in 1900 and was designated a national park in 1938. Ironically, the park was initially used as a hunting ground for the elite under British rule. Yala is home to 44 varieties of mammal and 215 bird species. Among its more famous residents is the world’s biggest concentration of leopards.

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel & proceed to Colombo. On arrival, check-in and rest of the day is at leisure.

Today after breakfast we set out for our final destination of the itinerary “Colombo”. On arrival in Colombo we proceed for a short city tour which gives us opportunity to see Viharamahadevi Park. It’s a public park located in Colombo, next to the National Museum in Sri Lanka. It is the oldest and largest park of the Port of Colombo Independence square, The Arcade Independence Square is a shopping complex housed in a group of renovated buildings including the former Jawatta Lunatic Asylum and the former Western Provincial Council Building. Shopping at ODEL BMICH, The Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, is a convention center located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Shopping at house of fashion. Gangarama Temple is one of the most important temples in Colombo, Sri Lanka, being a mix of modern architecture and cultural essence. Galle face The Galle Face is a 5 ha ocean-side urban park, which stretches for 500 m along the coast, in the heart of the financial and business capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo. Old parliament The Old Parliament Building is the building that houses the Presidential Secretariat of Sri Lanka. Situated in the Colombo fort facing the sea, it is in close proximity to the President's House, Colombo.
